The Mr Dink Show, a Flash for broadcast animation series from Bardel Ent., picked up the Grand Jury Prize for Animation in the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival.
The first four five-minute episodes of the comedy show, created and directed by Ron Crown, were singled out among a field of more than 250 features, shorts, animations and documentaries in competition. Also garnering Grand Jury Prizes are the feature God Has a Rap Sheet, the documentary Rockets’ Red Glare and the short Pillowfighter.
With the initial shorts receiving accolades and gaining in popularity, Bardel is in production on another nine episodes for CTV’s Comedy Network, which broadcast the original four. Also webcast on AtomFilms, the first episodes are now available for acquisition with the next nine scheduled to roll out spring 2003.
The Mr Dink Show will go on to compete in NYIIFV events in Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
