Mai Nguyen is the new assistant director of international television sales for Sesame Workshop, in charge of program sales in Asia, Latin America, Canada and the Caribbean. She is also creating and developing for the Workshop a new reporting system, which will be a resource of broadcaster and programming data.
From 1998 to 2002, Nguyen served as a project manager, formulating and implementing the first phase of an online distribution web site of deliverables for licensing television titles to international markets. Nguyen has also worked as a project manager at World Archipelago in London, where she created new marketing tools for the AETN International Affiliate web site. Prior to that, she was public-affairs manager at Saxon Publishers, where she designed and produced the company’s first intermediate and long-term public-affairs plan. Nguyen has also served at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising in Vietnam and as an assistant director at Michael Ross Prods. in New York. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Oklahoma.
