BKN Signs Game Deals for Legend of the Dragon

BKN International announced Tuesday at the Int’l Licensing Show that it has sealed video game deals for its animated property, Legend of the Dragon, with The Game Factory Inc. and Planeta DeAgostini Interactive.

Under the agreement, characters from BKN’s Legend of the Dragon will hit Nintendo DS and Sony’s PlayStation 2, as well as other digital entertainment platforms courtesy of Game Factory. Meanwhile, Planeta, a communications group helming content production for the Spanish speaking market, picks up worldwide rights for mobile phones and PC games. ON GAMES, a division of Planeta, will handle production and development on this project.

Legend of the Dragon airs on Nickelodeon Latin America, and will bow on other major networks in the near future, including the U.K.’s CBBC and BBC in summer and fall 2005, Super RTL of Germany in January 2006 and Spain’s RTVE in May 2006. Pocket Dragon and UBOS are among other successful animated properties Frankfurt and London-based BKN has under its belt.
