Digital-Tutors Nabs Innovator of the Year Award

PL Studos’ Digital-Tutors has received the Innovator of the Year Award from the folks at The Journal Record, a leading business publication in the Midweat. The publication honored companies who are setting themselves apart with products and services that are changing the market place and who exemplify an innovative spirit.

DT’s lead developers Kyle Green and Sunder Iyer were lauded for their outstanding achievements and advances in interactive training and use of Next Limit RealFlow. The solution’s computational fluid dynamic engine allows artists to simulate any kind of liquid, glutinous and elastics body, gas and soft matter. RealFlow has most recently been used in the production of special effects in Lord of the Rings features, X-Men 2, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Robots, Ice Age: The Meltdown, and the upcoming feature, Barnyard.

The 2006 competition received hundreds of entries from several top companies in a diverse spectrum of commerce. The 2006 competition covered numerous business sectors ranging from the high-tech ventures to unique service and marketing concepts. The winners included entrepreneurs, educators, nonprofit, government and civic leaders.
