Global children’s entertainment and merchandise licensing organization 4Kids Ent. has announced the appointment of four new agencies to represent a number of 4Kids properties in three key European territories. According to the company, the sub-agency additions Euro Lizenzen, Planeta Junior, m4e and Bruno Prods. reflect the continuing major growth of the 4Kids portfolio of brands across Europe.
Euro Lizenzen will be handling the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brand in the GAS (Germany/Austria/Switzerland) region as the hit property celebrates its 25th anniversary next year. A major retro campaign is already under way, with Euro Lizenzen working on all aspects of the TMNT program leading up to its silver anniversary ‘Shell-ebration’ events.
Planeta Junior was 4Kids’ choice to manage the expansion of three key brands into the key Italian market: the popular trading card property Dinosaur King, which has spawned an animated series, and the photographic properties The Dog and The Cat. Part of audiovisual entertainment group DeA Planeta, Planeta Junior has become a major name in licensing and promotion in southern Europe, representing a diverse range of properties spanning children’s entertainment, sports, design and the arts.
m4e, which stands for ‘made for entertainment,’ was previously appointed to represent Dinosaur King in the GAS region, will add licensing responsibilities for The Dog there. A brand management and media company that specialiszes in the development and utilization of brand and intellectual property rights, m4e has a large portfolio of clients across the entertainment, sport and personality fields.
Netherlands-based Bruno Prods. will rep the live monster truck show Monster Jam across both the Benelux and GAS regions. The inaugural Monster Jam live event in Brussels’ famed Koning Boudwin Stadion in July attracted roughly 33,000 people. Founded in 1989, Bruno specializes in all aspects of syndication and licensing, representing a large range of properties for both children and adults across numerous media.
