Abbey Home Media, a British independent distributor, rights owner and producer of children’s programs, has appointed Stephen Moore partner and shareholder. Moore previously held senior positions at both 20th Century Fox and Aardman Animations.
Founded in 1989 by Anne and Ian Miles, Abbey Home Media specializes in distributing programming for leading pre school franchises including Horrid Henry from Novel, Sesame Street from Sesame Workshop, The Magic Roundabout from Path’, Spot from Penguin and Paddington Bear and The Wombles from Cookie Jar’s FilmFair Catalog.
As a producer and rights owner, Abbey owns the animated series SuperTed, Wide Eye (developed from the internationally successful early learning program and commissioned by BBC) and Baby Bright, an infant learning series developed with Professor Annette Karmiloff-Smith, one of the world’s leading authorities in baby development. A number of other projects are in active production at the company.
