Animation-based online social network MyToons.com has launched Creepy Cartoons, a new artwork and animation contest. Artists and animators worldwide are encouraged to upload their Halloween-inspired creations in celebration of this the hair-raising holiday. In addition to exposure on the MyToons.com homepage, winners will receive Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas: Collector’s Edition on DVD and the Nightmare Revisited soundtrack CD. Which features cover songs from the movie performed by the likes of Danny Elfman, Polyphonic Spree, All American Rejects and Marilyn Manson.

MyToons is accepting submissions throughout the month of October. Members are invited to enter by uploading their artwork or animation and tagging them as ‘Creepy Cartoons Halloween.’ Selected artwork and animations will be featured daily on the MyToons blog, The Animation Snack and the Creepy Cartoons Channel on the MyToons.com homepage, where submissions will be available for viewing through November 2nd.
