Disney Junior to Board Season 2 of ‘Chuggington’ Feb. 14

The second season of Ludorum’s popular train-based kids series Chuggington is scheduled to debut Feb. 14  as part of the Disney Junior block on Disney Channel in the U.S.

The series will debut at 10:30 a.m. ET/PT on the block designed for kids ages 2-7 with the first of 13 new half-hour episodes.

“Fans overseas have been very enthusiastic about the second season, with viewership increasing again over already extraordinary market shares,” said Dick Rothkopf, chairman of U.K.-based Ludorum. “We expect our U.S. fans will find Season Two equally entertaining and educational. Parents and children will enjoy even more action-packed stories, first-ever snow scenes, and new Chuggington destinations. They’ll also be introduced to new characters including Hoot and Toot, twin trainees, as well as Speedy McAllister, a 150-year-old steam engine.”

Chuggington debuted in the United States on Jan. 18, 2010, following a successful launch in the United Kingdom in September 2008. It now appears daily in more than 175 territories around the world.
