Mondo TV Tags Showplace for U.S. Syndication

Mondo TV, an Italian producer of children’s shows, has tapped Showplace Television Syndication to represent its slate original animated series in the United States.

Showplace will introduce the programs at NATPE 2011, set for Jan. 24-26 in Miami, Fla. They describe the series as follows:

  • Angel’s Friends –  Angel’s Friends features the adventures of Raf, a very young angel (who has just turned 15 stars) and lives in Angie Town – the metropolis of the angels – with her best friends, Urie and Dolce. After the threesome graduate from a special school that transforms them into 100% guardian angels, they will be transported to earth to protect the planet against the evil guardian devils. The series is a co-production between Mondo TV and Play Entertainment.
  • Puppy In My Pocket – Friendship in a fantastical world of Pocketville is the focus of this award-winning animated series where lonely pets are assigned to loving children to care for them. The series is a co-production between Mondo TV, Giochi Preziosi , and Meg Toys.
  • Virus Attack – The sci-fi based animated series follows the heroic offspring of a pacific town kidnapped by an evil alien where they were mutated into monstrous viruses in order to conquer Earth.  As the Earth faces pollution, a group of the offspring uses their special powers to help save the world.  The series is a co-production between Mondo TV and SUK.
