NBA Star James Brings ‘The LeBrons’ to the Web

NBA star LeBron James is bringing his animated alter egos, The LeBrons, to the internet in a new series of webisodes via his production company, Spring HIll Productions, and Believe Entertainment. Dru Dog Productions will handle production fo the show, which is set to debut “in early 2011.”

The animated series stars four animated characters who represent various aspects of James’ personality — Kid LeBron, Athlete LeBron, Wise LeBron and Business LeBron. The characters all first appeared in commercials James did for Nike and will continue to feature Nike’s Young Athletes footwear and apparel on the new episodes.

The 10-episode series will use a portion of its proceeds to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of America through the donation of computers from lead technology sponsors HP and Intel. The show will appear on a YouTube channel located at www.youtube.com/thelebrons and promoted through James’ popular Facebook page, Twitter feed and website, LebronJames.com.  It also will be syndicated on various target sites by Digital Broadcast Group.

Here’s an introduction to the project from James:
