AM2, a free anime convention based in Anaheim, Calif., has announced its first animation festival and competition.
The event has put out a call for entries for animated entries that fit into the following categories:
- Best U.S. Animated Short
- Best International Animated Short
- Best U.S. Animated Feature
- Best International Animated Feature
- Best of Show
Winners in each category will be selected by the public and receive a cash prize.
AM2, now in its second year, is a 24-hour festival dedicated to Asian music, anime and manga. The convention charges no fee for badges and will be held July 1-3 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
