The first rendered image from Disney-Pixar’s upcoming feature film Brave has arrived.
The image gives the first look at Merida, the movie’s lead character and the first female lead in any Pixar film.
Here’s how Pixar describes the movie, which is due in theaters June 22, 2013:
Set in Scotland in a rugged and mythical time, “Brave” features Merida, an aspiring archer and impetuous daughter of royalty. Merida makes a reckless choice that unleashes unintended peril and forces her to spring into action to set things right.
What do you think, Animag readers? Do you like it? Or is it a miss?
Nice character design, lovely shading and lighting, great high concept. Considering Pixar’s mostly home run record, this will probably be a wonderful film for everyone.
is it a hit or a miss? has pixar ever missed?
“A miss”?!? Those Pixar boys could make a movie about string cheese that would make Navy SEALs weep!
MISS???? u crazy of course not
Znowu animacja dla dzieciaków, może warto cosik zrobić dla dorosłych?!@!!!
Definately not a miss. All I can say is that I’m looking forward to June 22, 2013.
yes it looks like finally a miss yes
I for one am looking for a new storyline from Pixar.
They’ve been in sequel mode since last year and for the next few. Toy Story 3, Cars 2, Monsters Inc 2…
It was one of the things I truly enjoyed about that company, original stories.
JUST CHECK OUT THAT GIRL UP THERE. WHAT ELSE. ITS A HIT. THIS IS SAMURAI MULAN.
