Adapted from the four-issue 1986 tale by Frank Miller and David Mazzuchelli, Batman: Year One is set to arrive on Blu-ray, DVD, On Demand and digital download on Oct. 18.

The feature is directed by Sam Liu and Lauren Montgomery, and features the voices of Benjamin McKenzie as Bruce Wayne, Bryan Cranston as Jim Gordon, Eliza Dushku as Catwoman and Katee Sackhoff as Sarah Essen.

It’s also been announced that the release will include an all-new Catwoman animated short film, with Dushku again voicing the character. The short is written by Batman animation veteran Paul Dini and directed by Montgomery.

The movie is set for an early screening July 22 at Comic-Con International: San Diego, followed by a panel featuring filmmakers and cast members.
