We will be hosting a special book signing by Bryan Tillman, author of the awesome new book Creative Character Design (Focal Press, $29.95) on Friday (July 22) from 11:30 a.m til 12:30 p.m. Tillman’s book bridges the gap between the technique of drawing characters and the theory of good character design by using cse studies, examples of professional art, and literary an pop culture references to teach how to develop a character, not just draw one. The book is based on Bryan’s popular Comic-Con course on character design.
We are also sharing our booth space with the good folks at Reallusion on Saturday and Sunday. Don’t forget to learn all about this innovative company and their killer 2D animation tool, CrazyTalk Animator. They’ll be demonstrating the software and sponsoring cool giveaways on the weekend.
