Nicktoons Debuts ‘Monsuno’ Feb. 23

Nickelodeon’s Nicktoons channel will launch its new action-adventure animated series Monsuno Thursday, February 23 at 8 p.m. (ET). The 52 x half-hour series focuses on a group of heroic kids with the fate of the world in their hands and the power to control and battle creatures known as Monsuno. After the premiere Monsuno will regularly air on Thursday nights at 8:30 on the network, and on Nickelodeon channels around the world starting this summer.

“We’re excited to be the home of Monsuno in the U.S. and around the world,” said Keith Dawkins, SVP/General Manager, Nicktoons and TeenNick. “With powerful, action-driven animation, dynamic characters and a deeply woven original story mythology, this series has strong boy appeal.”

Monsuno is co-produced by Pacific Animation Partners LLC, a joint venture of JAKKS Pacific and Dentsu Entertainment USA, with Fremantle Media Enterprises and The Topps Company. FME is responsible for worldwide distribution (except Asia) and will act as Master Licensing agent for the brand outside Asia. JAKKS Pacific is the creator of the Monsuno property and master toymaker for the Monsuno toy line. The Topps Co. has signed on to produce trading card games, confectionaries and related products for the property.
