SMC Appoints Noback VP Interactive, Digital Media

Entertainment and brand management company SMC Entertainment Group Inc., sister company to global consumer products manufacturer Sun-Mate Corporation, has named Heather Smith Noback to the new post of Vice President, Interactive & Digital Media. In conjunction, SMC has formed a new division to manage online and social media strategies for its brands. The announcement was made by SMC’s Senior Vice President of Licensing, Lisa Streff, to whom Noback will report.

In her new position Noback will be responsible for development and execution of brand strategies and for overseeing the licensing and merchandising of categories including electronic toys, interactive gaming and all forms of digital media across all SMC brands. She will manage traditional licensing partnerships as well as ventures with developers of gaming and digital distribution as well as build retail partnerships and promotions with online retailers and digital partners As part of the new division’s revamped online and social media marketing strategies, and updated SMC website has launched, and SMC and its brands which include The Jungle Book, Dance Academy and H20: Just Add Water now have Facebook and Twitter pages.

Noback joins SMC from Encore Software, where she managed outbound licensing and business development for brands like Carmen Sandiego, Disney, Jeopardy, Scrabble and more. She had previously served as Senior Manager of Product Development Worldwide and later Senior Manager of Domestic Licensing for DIC Entertainment. She began her career in the entertainment industry in 2000 with Buena Vista Home Entertainment, in marketing for Disney and Fox Family Worldwide.
