Academy Plans ‘Roger Rabbit’s’ 25th Anniversary Reunion

The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences is planning a special evening to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Robert Zemeckis’ Oscar-winning feature, Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The event will take place on April 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Among the panelists scheduled to appear at this special tribute are director Robert Zemeckis, associate producers Don Hahn and Steve Starkey, actress Joanna Cassidy (Dolores), voice actor Charles Fleischer (Roger Rabbit), supervising animator Andreas Deja and screenwriter Peter S. Seaman.
Oscar-nominated director Rich Moore (Wreck-It Ralph ) will moderate the panel. A new digitally restored version of three movie will also be screened Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) received Oscars for Film Editing, Sound Effects Editing and Visual Effects, and a Special Achievement Award for Richard Williams’ animation direction. It was also nominated for Art Direction, Cinematography and Sound.
