DisneyToon Studios’ CG spin-off of Disney-Pixar’s popular Cars franchise, Planes, is getting ready for its August 9 lift-off as new images are revealed and Disney announces the full cast list, lead by comedian Dane Cook. Cook voices lead character Dusty, who dreams of being a racer but just wasn’t built for it—not that he’s going to let that stop him!
The stereoscopic 3-D film, originally slated for a purely home video release, will also star Stacy Keach, Cedric the Entertainer, Teri Hatcher, Brad Garrett, Roger Craig Smith, Gabriel Iglesias, Carlos Alazraqui, Julia-Louis Dreyfus, John Cleese, Priyanka Chopra, Sinbad, ESPN radio host Colin Cowherd, and Top Gun stars Val Kilmer and Anthony Edwards as two fighter jets (appropriately).
