Cartoon Network will be releasing seasons one and two of its Emmy-nominated action comedy Adventure Time on Blu-ray on June 4. The same day, Adventure Time: The Complete Second Season will also make its DVD debut, complete with bonus content arranged by series creator Pendleton Ward, including a featurette he filmed providing exclusive interviews with members of the show team, as well as commentaries for all 26 season two episodes from Ward and the crew.
Adventure Time: The Complete First Season on Blu-ray will bring the first slate of algebraic episodes to the hi-def home video market for the first time, with HD-quality audio and video. Both Blu-ray season sets include a free Ultraviolet HD copy for each episode, and have a suggested retail price of $32.07 each. The two-disc season two DVD set will be priced at $26.95.
The 2D-animated series follows best buddies and primo adventurers Finn and Jake as they travel through the mystical Land of Ooo and encounter its colorful inhabitants. Currently airing its fifth season, new episodes of the show premiere on Cartoon Network Monday nights at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT, with replays throughout the week.
