Disney Interactive has provided a more in-depth look at the Pirates of the Caribbean Play Set within its upcoming interactive platform, Disney Infinity, with a new set of character images, screenshots and a gameplay trailer featuring Play Set and Toy Box modes.
Pirates of the Caribbean will be part of the device’s starter pack, which launch August 18, along with The Incredibles and Monsters University. Within the Pirates play set, gamers play as Captain Jack Sparrow, Captain Barbossa and Davy Jones as they explore new lands and engage in sea battles with customized ships, and offers its own specialized game mechanics and pieces like unique weaponry that allows players to create new combat challenges, build worlds and more. Plus, in the Toy Box mode, the Pirates characters can interact with the other Infinity characters from Incredibles, Monsters and Cars for even more mix-and-match adventures.
The Disney Infinity allows players to place real-world toy versions of their favorite Disney and Pixar characters onto a device called the Infinity Base and transport them into the virtual game worlds and virtual Toy Box. Learn more at infinity.disney.com/toy-box.
