Atomic Expands with Yeti Farm

Vancouver’s Atomic Cartoons has inked a joint venture agreement with Kelowna, BC-based animation studio Yeti Farm Creative. The exclusive three-year deal–worth up to $3 million in production value–will expand TV animation production capabilities for Atomic in Kelowna. The expansion will allow the studios to jointly take advantage of local film commission efforts to grow the Okanagan region’s entertainment production industry.

Yeti Farm will collaborate on two of Atomic’s kids’ animated TV series, including the Leo Award-winning Rocket Monkeys, currently airing on TELETOON Canada and Nickelodeon in the U.S. Beginning in February, Yeti Farm will also be engaged in producing Atomic’s new original comedy toon Pirate Express, aimed at kids 7-11 and set to launch on TELETOON in fall of 2014 and Australia’s Nine Network in 2015.

The agreement will also allow Yeti Farm, founded in 2007 by Todd Ramsay, to hire an additional 30 crew members for the joint productions.
