Shout! Factory Teams Up with Canada’s Phase 4

Multiplatform distributor Shout! Factory has appointed Phase 4 Films to handle all non-music distribution duties in Canada. Under the terms of the deal Phase 4 Films will distribute Shout! Factory’s new releases and extensive catalog of packaged media (Blu-ray and DVD titles) and select digital entertainment content effective January 1, 2014. The announcement was made today by Shout! Factory founders Richard Foos, Bob Emmer and Garson Foos, and Berry Meyerowitz, President & CEO of Phase 4 Films.

“We are thrilled to have an aggressive Canadian distributor that complements our entrepreneurial spirit. Phase 4 is an experienced and motivated team that can put concentrated focus on our content and work collaboratively with us to maximize our business in traditional and non-traditional channels,” stated Shout! Factory’s founders in a joint statement. “We look forward to furthering our reach and continuing to grow our business in Canada.”

“Shout! Factory has an amazing track record of securing unique and highly marketable content, and we are excited to begin working together,” commented Meyerowitz. “Our teams are aligned and we are intent on growing both their physical and On Demand business in the Canadian market.”
