‘Stan Lee’s Mighty 7’ Recruits ABC3 Airdate for Oz

PGS Entertainment, a leading international brand management company, has secured a licensing agreement with ABC TV Australia for the animated movie trilogy Stan Lee’s Mighty 7.

Created with Marvel Comics’ icon writer and editor Stan Lee, Stan Lee’s Mighty 7 is produced by Stan Lee Comics, a joint venture among Genius Brands International, Stan Lee’s POW! Entertainment and Archie Comics.

The animated movie, the first part of a trilogy, stars Stan Lee and features an all-star cast with Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings trilogy), Jim Belushi (The Defenders), Mayim Bialik (The Big Bang Theory), Darren Criss (Glee), Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Armie Hammer (The Lone Ranger), Teri Hatcher (Desperate Housewives), Michael Ironside (Transformers Prime Beast Hunters: Predacons Rising) and Christian Slater (Breaking In).

Stan Lee’s Mighty 7 premieres in the United States on the Hub Network on Feb. 1. The trilogy will air later this year on ABC3, ABC TV Australia’s children’s channel. ABC3 is aimed at school-aged children and broadcasts a wide variety of Australian and international programs to cater to all interests and age groups.

In the ninety-minute movie, Lee — who co-created such iconic Marvel characters as the Fantastic Four, Thor, Iron Man, Spider-Man and the X-Men — is an animated version of himself, a legendary superhero creator, who teaches a crew of alien prisoners and their jailers, who have crash-landed on Earth, how to work together and use their powers to be superheroes. Each alien superhero has own unique powers and strengths, which aid in the group’s ability to combat enemies.
