FranceTV Distribution has signed a brand licensing agreement covering France, Luxembourg and French-speaking Belgium for Super 4, the first series based on the world of Playmobil, with co-producers Morgen Studios and Method Animation.
“This is the first time we have given permission for an animated series based on the world of Playmobil to be made,” says Bruno Berard, CEO of Playmobil France. “The combined creative talents of Morgen Studios and Method Animation have ensured that Super 4, which will shortly be broadcast by France Televisions, will match up to the wildest imaginings of young Playmobil fans.”
“We’re very proud of Super 4. The series really captures the Playmobil spirit of imagination, creativity and fun. Its four heroes take children on an adventure-packed journey through different worlds, with plenty of laughs along the way,” says Aton Soumache, president of Method Animation.
FranceTV Distribution has also purchased licensing rights to Playmobil for France and the Benelux countries with a view to developing a classic product range for adults.
Super 4 (52 x 11 min), co-produced by Morgen Studios and Method Animation in association with France Televisions, will be screened during 2014 in the Ludo slot on France 3.
