The latest guest-directed episode of Cartoon Network’s hit animated comedy Adventure Time is slated to premiere Thursday, June 12 at 7 p.m. and will be helmed by acclaimed Japanese director, writer and storyboard artist Masaaki Yuasa.
Among Yuasa’s directing credits are the anime adaptation of Tomihiko Morimi’s The Tatami Galaxy for Fuji TV, sci-fi romance Kaiba for WOWOW satellite network, Tatsunoko Production’s series based on Taiyo Matsumoto’s Ping Pong manga and the “Happy Machine” segment in the anthology film Genius Party — to name a few.
The new Adventure Time episode, titled “Food Chain,” takes Finn and Jake on a field trip to the Candy Kingdom Museum of Natural History, where they learn about the food chain by becoming the food chain.
