Cyber Group Packs Up ‘The Long Long Holiday’

Paris-based Cyber Group Studios has inked a deal with Les Armateurs for worldwide representation of the studio’s newest television series, The Long Long Holiday (10 x 26 or 5 x 50). Commissioned by France TV and Canal Plus, the show targets kids 6-12 and their families and is set to debut in May 2015. This unique project will blend animated segments created from recent La Poudriere graduates with one-minute interviews with World War II survivors. Acclaimed graphic novel artist Emile Bravo is overseeing the design work.

The Long Long Holiday recounts the daily life of a brother and sister who are left by their parents at their grandparents’ house near the Normandy coast for a few weeks at the beginning of World War II. As the war rumbles on, those weeks become five years. The series sheds new light on the war and the patriotic actions of the people of France told through the eyes of two young urban children who know nothing of life in the country. Despite the war, they experience wonderful adventures in nature, making new friends and getting to know the farm animals.
