New Trailer for ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’

Cowabunga, dudes!

Fans of the heroes in a half-shell are surely getting ready for the release of the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, due in theaters Aug. 8. And now they have a new trailer to whet their appetites:

The feature is produced by Michael Bay, who brings his unique style of mass destruction to the proceedings. Jonathan Liebesman is directing, and the film stars Megan Fox as reporter April O’Neil, Will Arnett and Whoopi Goldberg. Johnny Knoxville voices Leonardo and Tony Shalhoub voices Splinter.

What do you think, Animag readers? Is this a totally awesome reboot, or a soggy cold pizza? Let us know in the comments.

  1. I have no problem with Micheal Bay doing a TMNT reboot, but he has a HUGE problem. He’s good at ACTION…that’s it! He’s NOT GOOD story-wise AT ALL!! And WHAT THE HECK ARE THOSE THINGS?!?!?! They look ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like how they’re supposed to look! I’m glad that they’re embracing the newer MoCap technology…it’s WAY better than the HORRIBLE attempt to make a film series in the ’90s! But their faces look SO GROSS!! It’s like they Photoshoped slightly altered, normal-sized human faces on to the correctly proportioned TMNT bodies!! I mean SERIOUSLY! Just use the MoCap technology for every part of the actors bodies EXCEPT THEIR FACES! Almost 100% of the time Hollywood jacks up film version(s) of “classic” stories. One HUGE example in this reboot is SHREDDER!! For heaven’s sake! He’s supposed to be a freakin’ Japanese!!
