VIZ Media will be marking the return of global hit anime series Sailor Moon with a slate of special activities planned for “Sailor Moon Day” (July 5) at Anime Expo in Los Angeles. The show is now streaming on NeonAlley.com and Hulu, with two new episodes debuting each Monday. Fans can participate in fun Sailor Scout-centric activities around the show and at the VIZ booth #1601.
The day will kick off with a panel in LP1 at 10 a.m., where the animation team will reveal members of the new English voice cast and premiere the first two dubbed episodes (and give out special posters!). Head over to Video 1 at noon for a screening of the all-new Sailor Moon Crystal which launches in Japan that same day and will be simulcast on streaming outlets.
The afternoon is rounded out by an autograph session with the English cast at 1 p.m. followed by a photo op with the Sailor Guardian Cosplayers from American Cosplay Paradise at the VIZ booth, and then a massive Sailor Moon cosplayer gathering in the Main Event Hall at 3. The Sailor Guardians will also be available at the VIZ booth to tell fans how to get a limited premiere event memorial coin.
