New York animation event Animation Block Party returns to the Brookfield Place arts complex along the Hudson starting next Thursday, July 24. The opening night is free and open to the public, including the live musical performances before each film. Filmmakers will also be on hand for audience Q&As.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., followed by a performance by Franny and Zooey at 7:30. Shorts begin playing at 8:30, with a Q&A session with event director Casey Safron and the filmmakers scheduled for 10. Visit the website for more details.
