VIZ Media and ReedPop will be bringing acclaimed manga artist Takeshi Obata, creator of smash hits Death Note, Bakuman and Hikaru No Go, to the New York Comic-Con (Oct. 9-12). Obata is schedule to participate in panels and autograph sessions on October 9 and 10, with times and locations to be confirmed. He will also participate at a special signing outside the Javits Convention Center as part of NYCC’s Super Week.
Obata’s latest work is All You Need Is Kill, an adaptation of the Japanese novel which inspired the Tom Cruise blockbuster Edge of Tomorrow. The two volume series is now available digitally through the VIZ Manga platform, GooglePlay, Kindle, Nook and Kobo. The print version is due out November 4.
