Summer is over and Frozen is back.
ABC will air Sept. 2 at 8 p.m. ET/PT a one-hour special titled The Story of Frozen: Making a Disney Animated Classic that will feature interviews with the cast and filmmakers, as well as a preview of Disney’s upcoming feature Big Hero 6.
Hosted by Josh Gad, who voices the snowman Olaf, the special will feature interviews with voice actors Kristen Bell (Anna) and Idina Menzel (Elsa), as well as executive producer John Lasseter, directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, producer Peter Del Vecho and songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.
The special will also include some exciting announcements about the next chapter of Frozen and a new preview of Frozen characters Anna, Elsa and Kristoff on an upcoming episode of ABC’s smash-hit live-action series Once Upon a Time.
The preview of Big Hero 6 is presented by the film’s directors, Don Hall and Chris Williams.
The Story of Frozen: Making a Disney Animated Classic is produced by Lincoln Square Productions. Jeanmarie Condon is senior executive producer and Rudy Bednar is the director.

I think it is a little too early to call this a “classic”, it must stand the test of time. Frozen was a good animated movie, but I would not go as far as to compare it to the original Disney classics just yet, the movie has not even been out for a year.
It is obvious Disney is very eager to cash in on this film, they are trying very hard to convince people that this is one of the “best” animated films ever. They have spent much more $ promoting Frozen then the average Disney movie.
Walt Disney Co may lo longer lure kids with McDonald’s Happy Meal Toys …. but it hasn’t stopped the Bob Iger regime @ the Burbank HQ from schilling to death anything they can which succeeds at the Box Office ! 😉
