Rainbow Appoints U.S. Agent

Family entertainment company Rainbow aims to expand its brands across America with the appointment of a new U.S. agent, Earthbound, to represent Winx Club and Mia and Me across the country.

“Our marvelous brands deserve to be represented by the very best agents out there and that’s why we have chosen Earthbound,” says Rainbow’s Antonella Ceraso, “Their intimate knowledge of the U.S. market will help us build a fabulous licensing program for both these properties in the U.S.”

Winx Club, currently in production for a seventh season, follows the adventure of a group of young fairies, combining action and comedy. The property comprises 156 TV episodes and three feature length movies — the latest, The Mystery of the Abyss, premiered in Italy this fall.

Mia and Me is an award-winning co-production with Lucky Punch GmbH/M4e centered on 12-year-old Mia and her adventures in the mystical land of Centopia, using a mix of live-action and CG animation. The show currently airs in over 80 territories, with a second season in production. A merchandise line has rolled out in key territories, including toys from Mattel.
