In accordance with its proud tradition of mercilessly tackling the hot-button issues of the day, a new promo for season 18 of Comedy Central’s South Park (premiering September 24) shows Eric Cartman taking on much maligned Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder and player Robert Griffin III.
The set up involves Cartman co-opting the Redskins name and logo for an indeterminate business venture, following the Patent and Trademark office revoking the team’s trademark in the wake of controversy over the name, which is widely considered to be derogatory and offensive to Native Americans. Check out the promo clip below and be sure to catch the season premiere this Wednesday.

Native Americans actually helped name the team. No one uses this term like the N word, just a bunch of horse crap.
Only 10% of Native Americans view the name and logo as offensive. My advice to those 10% is not to watch the NFL games with the Redskins…ignore it. Isn’t that what the social media tells Christians when they are offended by something?
South Park lampooning the obvious (again) and I’m fine with that …
