‘Beet Party’ to Fight Bullying in Canada

ToonBox Entertainment and the Canadian Red Cross (CRC) have teamed up to bring some animated flair to the organization’s Violence, Bullying and Abuse Prevention program. Clips from ToonBox’s hit preschool interstitial series The Beet Party will be used by Canadian teachers nationwide to help demonstrate lessons in treating others with respect, acceptance, inclusion, encouragement, teamwork and sharing.

The Beet Party is a dialog-free, musical comedy-adventure following five hep beets that live in a fridge. Whenever something new and unexpected arrives in the kitchen, the Beets explore, experiment, build and play in original and inventive ways — with hilarious results. The interstitials currently airs worldwide, including on Disney Junior in Latin America, SVT in Sweden, YLE in Finland, ABC in Australia, BBC Kids Canada and Quebec’s Yoopa.

The CRC’s violence prevention program engages with schools, organizations and communities to create safe environments for children and youth, as well as adults who work with them. Details can be found at redcross.ca/violenceprevention.
