Disney Junior has ordered a second season of animated preschool series Sheriff Callie’s Wild West, starring Mandy Moore (Tangled) as the feline heroine. The show follows Calico Callie as she keeps the peace in her frontier town Nice and Friendly Corners by enforcing the rules of good morals, manner and social ethics.
Sheriff Callie was the first Disney|ABC TV show to premiere multiple episodes online and on mobile ahead of its broadcast debut, through the WATCH Disney Junior app in November 2013. A creative storytelling app called Sheriff Callie’s Tales of the Wild West recently hit No. 1 in four countries and made the top 10 apps lists in 47 countries.
Created by Denis Morella and George Evelyn and developed by Holly Huckins, the show is produced by Wild Canary in association with Disney Junior. Huckins serves as exec producer/story editor, Morella as director and Robert Ramirez as supervising director. In addition to Moore, Sheriff Callie features the voices of Lucas Grabeel, Jessica DiCicco, Mo Collins, Cree Summer, Kevin Michael Richardson, Jeff Bennett, Gary Anthony Williams and Carlos Alazraqui. The show airs daily on Disney Channel and Disney Junior.
