The MIFA market event — part of the Annecy animation festival — has opened registrations for the 2015 event. The call for projects will be open through February 13, 2015 at annecy.org. Animation projects in the first stage of development are invited to enter in one of four format categories: short films, feature films, TV series and specials, and transmedia.
Acceptance to MIFA offers great opportunities for filmmakers, allowing creators to pitch their project to attending industry professionals at the MIFA Pitches program (June 16-19), compete for prizes from sponsoring partners (Arte, Disney Channel, Folimage, France Televisions, et al) and the chance to find funding partners to get their animation off the ground.
