DreamWorks Animation is developing with Verizon two new channels for its online children’s channels DreamWorksTV and AwesomenessTV.
AwesomenessTV will produce more than 200 hours of original content a year for Verizon, while the kids-oriented DreamWorksTV will offer up its mix of animated and live-action short-form content.
Original animated content on DreamWorks TV includes Public Pool, News that Doesn’t Stink, Dueling Kapowskis and Jimmy Blue Shorts, as well as content featuring characters from the studio’s feature film franchises: Shrek, Puss in Boots, Madagascar and How to Train Your Dragon.
The channels will be only available in the United States.
The teen-oriented AwesomenessTV is a multi-platform media company owned by DreamWorks Animation and Hearst Corporation.
