VIZ Brings ‘The Last: Naruto the Movie’ to LatAm

VIZ Media will be bringing the latest adventures of everyone’s favorite ninja-in-training to theaters in Latin America as The Last: Naruto the Movie launches in Chile and Peru this Thursday, May 14, with openings in Brazil and Mexico May 28 and a debut in Argentina on June 4 — with additional territories to be announced.

The seventh film of the hit franchise, based on the internationally best-selling manga by Masashi Kishimoto, will be presented in the original Japanese with Spanish subtitles. In The Last, the moon approaches dangerously close to Earth. Unless something is done, the moon will disintegrate, showering the globe with gigantic meteorites. It’s up to Naruto to avert this crisis before it’s too late.

VIZ Media is the master licensor for Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, which is currently streaming throughout LatAm via ClaroVideo and Netflix, and broadcast in Brazil via PlayTV. Additional regional partners include DSX Films (Argentina, theatrical distribution), PlayArte (Brazil, home video & theatrical), Edisur and Andes Films (Chile & Peru, theatrical), Etc. TV (Chile, pay TV), Kokuban and Cinepolis (Mexico, theatrical).
