Disney XD and Maker Partner for Talent Initiative

Disney XD and Maker Studios have united to form Disney XD by Maker, a new talent incubation program to will search out and develop fresh content creators. The initiative will foster Maker’s leading creators and will use the Maker Offers platform to bring in rising talents from around the world. Videos created through XD by Maker will launch on creator channels on YouTube, with the potential for broadcast and digital distribution through Disney XD. The most successful content could in time be developed into TV pilots for XD.

“We’re thrilled to collaborate with Maker and warmly welcome some of its brightest stars to the Disney XD family through Disney XD by Maker,” said Marc Buhaj, the senior VP of programming and general manager at Disney XD. “Recognized by our audience as celebrities in their own right, these stars will pave the way for up-and-coming Disney XD by Maker talent, cultivating a creative community that drives inspiration, original storytelling and unique formats that can be shared globally.”

Williams, the chief audience officer at Maker Studios. “This collaboration represents a first-of-its-kind on-ramp for digital creators who aspire to work with the most prominent entertainment brand in the world.”
