Licensing Works! Scores Rights to Classic ‘Little Prince’

Licensing Works! has signed with the Estate of Antoine de Saint-Exupery and French rights company NDA to represent North American rights to classic storybook brand The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince). New licenses secured by Licensing Works will include rights to the 2018 75th Anniversary Celebration logo.

Saint-Exupery’s 1943 novella The Little Prince is one of the most successful books of all time, with over 200 million copies sold worldwide. The book is available in over 288 official translations, making it the most translated book in the world besides the Bible. It has inspired stage productions, an animated short, over 300 licensed books, video games, Japanese anime, theme park attractions and five movies, including the recent film from Mark Osborne.

Licensing Works! will be seeking out partners for classic rights for apparel and accessories, toys, games, publishing, stationery, gift, consumables, domestics and home decor, and all other relevant categories.
