MONDO announces a further expansion of its digital presence, with popular animated series like Happy Tree Friends and Deep Space coming to tech giant (and leading online video company) LeEco’s streaming service, available on its new line of TVs and mobile phones in the US.
A longtime player in the digital content game, beginning with the biggest animation channel on YouTube (more than 3 billion views), the LeEco deal comes on the heels of MONDO’s announcement that it is joining the new VRV streaming platform from Ellation, for which MONDO will provide original content. MONDO’s own channel is currently distributed on mondomedia.com, mobile apps, Apple TV and Roku.
LeEco streaming boasts a current user base in China of more than 53 million daily, unique visitors, with a content library of more than 100,000 TV episodes and some 5,000 films. US audiences will be able to view LeEco content — including current MONDO productions — beginning November 1.
