9 Story Media Group has licensed season two of its animated comedy series Numb Chucks (52 x 11) to Cartoon Network Latin America. The first season premiered on the network in 2014 across the region; season two brings the series’ episode total to 104 x 11.
Produced by 9 Story Media Group for YTV Canada, the series has also sold to Cartoon Network’s Boomerang (US), Kix (UK), ABC (Australia), TVNZ (New Zealand), TG4 (Ireland), Canal+ Family (France) and Super RTL (Germany). The series has also been acquired by international Disney Channels in Central & Eastern Europe, Asia, South Korea, Indian Subcontinent, Japan, Middle East & Africa, Israel and Benelux.
Numb Chucks stars two half-witted woodchuck vigilantes, Dilweed and Fungus, who use their non-existent kung fu skills to protect the lives of all the citizens in Ding-A-Ling Springs, whether they need it or not! The 2D comedy has won multiple awards, including two 2016 Canadian Screen Awards (Best Performance in an Animated Program and Best Writing in an Animated Program), a 2016 ACTRA Award and a 2016 Writer’s Guild of Canada Award.
