Take a Memo: New ‘Boss Baby’ Trailer Is Born

Ohhhh, poop-doody — things are getting real in the Templeton household in the new official trailer for DreamWorks Animation’s The Boss Baby (out March 31, 2017). Complete with an intro from voice star Alec Baldwin, the spot reveals the Boss Baby’s real intentions: to restore the balance of love and affection and take back BabyCorp’s market share from their most dangerous competitors … puppies.

We also get to know some of Boss Baby’s toddling underlings in the trailer, and check out some of the pint-size gags being played for big laughs as older brother Timothy joins forces with the infants in order to get the enfant terrible out of his life, for good. (Plus, there’s a pretty good fart joke in there.)

The Boss Baby is directed by Tom McGrath of Megamind and Madagascar franchise fame, and written by Michael McCullers — based on Marla Frazee’s award-winning picture. Ramsey Ann Naito is the producer. In addition to Baldwin, the voice cast features Steve Buscemi, Jimmy Kimmel, Lisa Kudrow and Miles Bakshi as Timothy.

Synopsis:

DreamWorks Animation and the director of Madagascar invite you to meet a most unusual baby. He wears a suit, speaks with the voice and wit of Alec Baldwin, and stars in the animated comedy, DreamWorks’ The Boss Baby. The Boss Baby is a hilariously universal story about how a new baby’s arrival impacts a family, told from the point of view of a delightfully unreliable narrator, a wildly imaginative 7 year old named Tim. With a sly, heart-filled message about the importance of family, DreamWorks’ The Boss Baby is an authentic and broadly appealing original comedy for all ages.
