Nimble Collective, the cloud-based animation platform and community which aims to democratize the $13 billion animation technology industry, has teamed up with Zerply, an online matchmaking market for high-end production creatives in film, games and VR. This union can help studios save millions of dollars on their animation projects.
Over the past decade, the animation and visual effects industry has experienced a major shift whereby — according to Zerply’s internal tracking metrics — 70% of creative talent are now contract workers, versus only 20% several years ago. This has created challenges for studios due to the time invested in continually recruiting and managing on-location contractors. The team-up between Nimble Collective and Zerply addresses this shift by offering a cloud-based production platform to streamline performance and tapping into an elite pool of animation talent.
