‘Revolting Rhymes’ Wins Int’l Emmy Kids Award for Animation

The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences revealed the winners of the 2018 International Emmy Kids Awards on Tuesday at a ceremony held during MIPTV in Cannes, in partnership with Reed MIDEM. This year’s prize for Animation went to the twisted Roald Dahl fairytale antics of Revolting Rhymes, from Magic Light Pictures (UK) and Triggerfish (South Africa).

The animation finalist nominees also included Oddbods, Siesta Z and Trude’s Flatmate. The category winner last year was Shaun the Sheep: The Farmer’s Llamas.

“The programming kids watch every day has a major influence on their behavior and views of the world”, said International Academy President, Bruce L. Paisner. “We congratulate all the winners for their outstanding achievements and for setting the high-quality standard we all expect for our kids.”
