Cartoon Network LatAm Teams with Pixelatl for Girl Power Pitch

Cartoon Network Latin America and Mexican animation festival Pixelatl have renewed their partnership for an inspiring pitch contest, this time with a pro-female theme – Girl Power: Pitch Me the Future. In addition to finalists having the opportunity to pitch their projects in front of Cartoon Network execs during the festival, the first place winner will have a shot at producing their pilot episode, up to the value of $10,000 USD.

In previous years, the two entities have organized competitions around a variety of themes, such as Pitch Me Anything in 2016 (aimed at discovering content for the Cartoon Network Anything app) and Pitch Me Evolution in 2017 (for YouTube content).

Girl Power: Pitch Me the Future will be an opportunity for female animators and creators in the region to pitch their show ideas to Cartoon Network. For consideration, projects must fit into Cartoon Network’s editorial values, must be a original idea and different to anything else currently on the channel, and must have a multiplatform approach, such as short-form content or an interactive experience. The proposed project must have humor and authenticity in mind, and all entrants must be 18 and over and live in a Latin American country.

Submissions must be made by Sunday, August 5, 2018. Contenders can enter via the competition page (up to three projects per participant) by filling in the online form and including a URL to a pitch bible hosted on a no-expiration-date storage service (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, etc.)

At least five finalist projects will be select and announced August 10 by Pixelatl. Finalists must attend the Pixelatl Animation Festival in Cuernavaca, Mexico (Sept. 4-8), to pitch their projects.
