Toronto-based Portfolio Entertainment has hired Donnie Macintyre onto its senior management team in the newly created position of Vice President of Sales & Business Development.
The new veep joins the company as its in-house animation studio kicks off production on a slate of new IPs which will be ready for the market in 2019. He will be responsible for the sale of Portfolio’s diverse catalog of originaland acquired programs, as well as guiding the stretigc growth of its distribution division through new ventuers and partnerships.
“Donnie brings with him an ’out of the box’ mentality and a readiness to embrace change. We have no doubt Donnie will open new doors and lead the charge as we continue to expand our reach and the Portfolio brand,” said Trent Locke, Portfolio’s COO.
Macintyre brings 14 years of experience in global content sales, marketing and business development in the film, TV and digital industries to the new post. He has previously held positions at Distribution360/marblemedia, SK Films and Wind Mobile. Macintyre holds an MBA with a concentration in Marketing & Media Management.
Also joining the Portfoilio distribution team is Morgan White, in the role of International Distribution Manager. White has over a decade of experience in international and domestic delivery for both traditional and digital platforms. Prior to Portfolio, he most recently worked with Vice Media and Tricon Films and Television.
