CN Serves Up LBVR with ‘We Bare Bears: Food Truck Rush’ in WA

Cartoon Network has launched its first location-based VR experience with the new immersive multiplayer We Bare Bears: Food Truck Rush — based on the hit animated series created by Daniel Chong and likewise produced by Cartoon Network Studios and spearheaded by its emerging technologies group. The project was created in partnership with AiSolve, the developers of free-roaming virtual reality arena WePlayVR.

Food Truck Rush launched exclusively at the Family Fun Center in Tukwila, Washington this week, and will be available for fans of all ages to play there over the next three months. Location, hours and reservations at www.fun-center.com/tukwila.

The experience is a two- to three-layer party game which transforms users into Panda, Grizz and Ice Bear and tasks them with operating and managing their very own food truck. The goal: cook up food and serve as many customers as possible before the clock runs out. Players must work together inside the WePlayVR arena to complete orders and avoid kitchen mishaps.

As well as being CN’s first LBVR title, Food Truck Rush is the first third-party IP game partnership for AiSolve’s WePlayVR platform.

Cartoon Network was the first kid-focused network to venture into VR back in 2015, with Adventure Time: Magic Man’s Head Games.

We Bare Bears is a BAFTA Award-winning and Emmy-nominated series that launched in 2015. The show follows three bear brothers as they make friends and navigate the modern human world.
