Bad House (Leo Vision / Lagardère Studios) and Next Venture Films, based in L.A. and Tel Aviv, have inked an agreement to co-develop, co-produce and co-exploit the political satire animated series Duty Calls in Lagardère’s key markets: France / French-speaking territories, Spain, The Netherlands and Finland.
Created by award-winning writer-director Assaf Machnes (7 Minutes, Auschwitz on My Mind)and renowned illustratrator Amit Shimoni, Duty Calls portrays world leaders caught on video chat, caricatured in the style of Shimoni’s famous “hipstories” series of prints which reimagine global icons of art, culture and political leadership as hyperstyled hipsters.
