Hulu Puts Fifth Season of ‘Solar Opposites’ in Orbit

The beloved aliens of Solar Opposites won’t be leaving our planet anytime soon as Hulu has just given the show an early fifth season renewal. The news was announced at New York Comic Con on Thursday.

Created by Justin Roiland (Rick & Morty) and Mike McMahan (Star Trek: Lower Decks),  Solar Opposites had the most-watched premiere for a comedy on Hulu. The voice cast includes Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley), Sean Giambrone (The Goldbergs), Mary Mack and Roiland. Guest stars have Tiffany Haddish, Rainn Wilson, Sterling K. Brown and Alfred Molina.

The show centers around a family of aliens who crash land on Earth and are forced to stay often disagreeing on whether or not this is a good thing. The family comes from Planet Shlorp, an advanced totalitarian world that sent out one hundred ships to colonize new planets shortly before its destruction. The comedy also features a parallel storyline of miniature humans living inside the Opposites’ wall.

Among Hulu’s other upcoming animated offerings are a Futurama reboot, Roiland’s new series Koala Man, andThe Paloni Show! Halloween Special! (which arrives on October 17, 2022)

Solar Opposites Season 4 is slated to premiered in early 2023. All episodes can currently be streamed on Hulu.
